Kang Style Coffee Table, Warm Elm h140 The standard table seats sixLow level tables and other furniture were used throughout northern China, where they would be placed on the 'kang' a heated platform of brick or earth that formed the main living area, and used to serve tea and other refreshments. Our warm elm model is an updated version in the same style as the original kang tables, but made slightly larger to be more practical as a modern day coffee table. It shows a number of classic features of Chinese tables
